Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy to learn techniques and eliminates anxiety about restaurant food in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and culture, and the surrounding geography. Early on, while living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was in Italy for a whole year taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. When she was in Italy she acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian cuisine. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing challenges. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador which promotes the awareness of children with diabetes. as a speaker, guest and teacher, she travels around the US to talk about her love for cooking and career. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion that she had for cooking with others.
