Rochon was the only daughter born to Zelma Staples. A businessman, she is also Zelma's daughters nurse practitioner. Cerritos Senior High School located in Cerritos California, is where Rochon graduated in 1982. She graduated in 1986 from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology and Theatre. Ullerup played Julia Brynn in the 2006 remake of Battlestar Galactica, which was broadcast through the Sci Fi Channel. She performed the role of Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the television show Sanctuary up until her role was cut from the script. Fans were enraged by her departure and wanted to see her return for future episodes. The show ended in 2012 but not without there was a heated controversy. Ullerup was a part of the cast as Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in 2016. Ullerup was chosen to play Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas the estranged wife, in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Ullerup regularly appears in the role of Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered film series since 2016.
